How the Test Is Scored
Your raw score is the number of questions you answer correctly; it is converted to a scaled score that adjusts for differences in difficulty between test editions. ASHA requires a scaled score of 162 on 5343 for the CCC-A. Each state sets its own licensure requirement, so check the passing score for the state where you plan to practice. There is no penalty for guessing, so answer every question.
Because Assessment carries about 42 questions and Intervention about 30, these two categories decide most of the score. Expect many questions that give an audiogram, immittance results, an electrophysiologic or vestibular finding, or a patient complaint and ask for the interpretation, the most likely cause, or the best next step.
